I grew up in Central Iowa around the new construction industry.  I learned what "real" work was, from working summers with my father during high school and college.  My Father's company Laffoon And Company, Inc. is one of the largest foundation companies in the Des Moines area.  He has been putting in foundations since 1971.

After I graduated from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, I started Select Builders, Inc. in 1996.  I started with my first home in Norwalk, building one at a time.  Now, I usually have around four or five homes going in various price ranges in quality neighborhoods around the Des Moines metro.

I currently live in Johnston with my wife, daughter, and son.  I love spending my free time with my family and I enjoy golfing with friends.

I'm working hard to build quality new custom homes.  I think that planning, quality products and attention to detail are what set my homes apart.  With referrals, I am gaining more and more satisfied customers each year.
